The National Bank of Bahrain has been at the forefront of community development in the Kingdom of Bahrain ever since its inception. One of the Bank’s key drivers has been the pursuance of providing services to the physically challenged and the disabled sections of the society. In line with this key driver, NBB announced that the NBB branch located at Al Istiqlal Highway in Sanad is now fully set up to cater to the Bank’s specially challenged customers.

The Al Istiqlal branch of NBB has a specially designed ATM to cater to the visually impaired. To enhance accessibility, the ATM has been lowered to ensure the ease of use for our special customers. The branch offers priority to specially challenged customers and has ensured that all relevant banking services have been tailor-made to suit their needs ensuring an elevated branch experience.

Commenting on this, the CEO of NBB Mr. Jean-Christophe Durand said “We remain firmly committed in our endeavors to have a more inclusive banking experience across the different sections of the society. The Al Istiqlal branch has been specially redesigned to ensure that such section of the society can conduct their banking transactions with ease and security. We have strived to provide an environment which addresses specific concerns of the physically challenged or the visually impaired and make certain that they can now enjoy a banking experience along with other customers of NBB. We will continue our efforts to improve such services in the near future. We have always worked towards the integration of our banking community and we feel privileged to have taken steps towards that direction.”

The Istiqlal branch is open for business from Sunday to Thursday. On Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, the branch is open from 7.30am to 1.00 pm and then again from 4.00pm- 6.00 pm. On Mondays and Wednesdays, the branch is open from7.30 am to 1.00 pm.
