NBB contributed BD5,000 as a donation to the Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation to support its activities.

Shaikh Ahmed bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Chairman of the Federation, was presented with the BD5,000 cheque by Mr. Khalid Ali Juma, General Manager Operations & Administration Group. The donation was made as part of the Bank’s donations and contributions programme for 2011.

During the presentation ceremony, Shaikh Ahmed, on behalf of the Federation, expressed his thanks and appreciation for the continuous support the Federation receives from NBB. Shaikh. Ahmed said the donation will enable the Federation to extend its activities of providing sporting facilities and opportunities for the disabled in Bahrain. He also conveyed his sincere thanks to the NBB Board of Directors, and Mr. Abdul Razak Abdulla Hassan Al Qassim, NBB CEO & Director, for the Bank’s supportive gesture.

Mr. Khalid Ali Juma said that NBB has a moral obligation and a duty to provide help and support to the local community where it is needed most. Mr. Khalid thanked Shaikh Ahmed bin Salman Al Khalifa and everyone else working at the Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation for their dedication and selfless service to those being cared for by the Federation.

Mr. Mahmood Al Dhaen, Treasurer of the society, and Mr. Nasser Mohammed Nasser, Secretary to the Board of the Bank, also attended the presentation .
