NBB today announced the winners of the October Prize draw for the Al Watani Savings Scheme for 2010.  Following the two grand prizes during the earlier Eid celebrations, the 6 new winners of the October monthly prize were declared just in time for the Eid Al Adha celebrations. The revamped Al Watani Savings Scheme offers six individual prizes of US $ 6,666.66 every month. These prizes are in addition to the grand prizes and the Mega Prize of US $ 666,666.66 (which will be shared equally among 3 winners) to be announced in the month of January.

The six winners of this monthly prize Mr.Ali Abbas Ali Abbas, Mr.Mohammed Hassan Salman Makki, Ms. Afrah Ahmed Ali Madan AlMadani,Mr. Ebrahim Ali Ahmed AlAali, Mr. Khalil Ebrahim Ahmed Mohammed and Mr. S.Hassan Adnan Hashim AlWedaie were delighted with their winnings and expressed their deep appreciation for the Bank. The winners were extremely thrilled especially since the prizes come right before the advent of the Eid Al Adha celebrations in the Kingdom.

The Al Watani Savings Scheme has been the pioneer of such schemes in the Kingdom and in keeping with its legacy, 2010 promises a Mega prize of US $ 666,666.66 to be distributed between three winners as well as other attractive cash prizes. In 2009, Al Watani Savings scheme offered the single largest cash prize of US $ 555,555.55 to its winner.

Al Watani Savings Scheme encourages people from different age groups to save for a better future, a habit NBB chooses to reinforce in order to honour its commitments towards the society.

While congratulating the winners, A. Aziz Al Ahmed said, “It gives us great pleasure to be able to make a difference to people’s lives in the Kingdom and more so, with the upcoming Eid celebrations. At such joyous moments, it is extremely heartening to note that NBB not only encourages people to inculcate a good habit but also is instrumental in playing an active role in their celebrations.
NBB has always been known for its commitment to society and we will continue to improve on our efforts to better serve our customers. The committed support of its customers and prudent management policies has helped the Bank to deliver good results even during difficult times.”

The focus now shifts to the Al Watani Mega Prize of US $ 666,666.66 to be announced later in the year. Three lucky winners would share this prize and change their lives forever.
