National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) Chief Executive Officer Mr. Abdul Razak A. Hassan Al Qassim has stressed the importance of the human resources working for the Bank during an honouring ceremony held to acknowledge long service staff.

The honouring ceremony was held at the Diplomat Hotel to award 38 long service employees who have served the Bank from 15 to 35 years in recognition for their long and continuous service. On behalf of the Board of Directors Mr. Al Qassim said that he was proud of what they achieved and thanked them for their diligence, commitment and their performance during their years of service.

In his address to the gathering, Mr. Al Qassim attributed the Bank’s success during such turbulent times to the bank’s main asset, its human capital. The expertise of the bank’s employees enabled it to continue in achieving more success and to stand out among other financial institutions amid this current global economic crisis.

Mr. Al Qassim said "The achievements and successes achieved by the Bank over the past ten years have been a challenge in a highly competitive market. The Bank's success today despite the economic downturn bears testimony to the strength of its position. This success would not have been achieved without the efforts and skills of our staff.” 

In addition, he noted that employees must continue in refining and upgrading their skills to keep pace with the latest developments in their fields.  Mr. Al Qassim also encouraged the staff to interact more with management and colleagues to consolidate the concept of NBB as one family. He emphasized the importance of maintaining good working relationship with fellow colleagues as well as customer relationship.

The honouring ceremony was also attended by Deputy General Manager Mr. Abdul Rahman Abdulla Mohammed and the Executive Assistant General Managers.
