NBB made a BD 10,000 donation to the Bahrain Cancer Society, as part of the Bank’s donations and contributions programme.

The Bank's General Manager – Operations & Administration Group, Mr. Khalid Ali Juma, presented the cheque to Dr. Abdul Rahman Ebrahim Fakhro, President of the Bahrain Cancer Society, at a meeting at the Bank's Head Office in Manama.

Dr. Fakhro thanked National Bank of Bahrain for their generous donation and continued support to the Society.

Dr. Fakhro said "A donation of this size is highly beneficial to the Bahrain Cancer Society. It will be used specifically to buy latest medical equipment for diagnosis and treatment of cancer conditions. He emphasized that the Society is ready to co-operate with the Bank in organizing educational programmes and activities which would serve the largest number of citizens and residents of the Kingdom of Bahrain."

Dr. Fakhro also expressed his appreciation to the Bank's Chairman, the Board of Directors and the Chief Executive Officer & Director, Mr. Abdul Razak Abdulla Hassan Al Qassim. Also attending the presentation was Mr. Ahmed Ali Al Nowaqdh, Secretary to the Board of the Bahrain Cancer Society, and Mr. Nasser Mohamed Nasser, Secretary to the Board of National Bank of Bahrain.

Mr. Khalid Ali Juma said "The Bank pays due attention to the issue of supporting the special care societies which seek to benefit the Kingdom of Bahrain." He lauded the role of the Bahrain Cancer Society, wishing them all success.
