National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) has made a donation of BD 3,000 to the Bahrain Diabetes Society as part of its donations and contributions programme for the year 2010. During a meeting held at his office, Mr. Abdul Rahman Abdulla Mohamed, NBB General Manager – Banking Group, presented the cheque to Dr.  Mariam AL Mula Hermes, The Deputy Chairman of Bahrain Diabetes Society. 

 Mr. Abdul Rahman Abdulla Mohamed said " NBB has always been attentive to the specialist societies who contribute significantly to improving Bahrain’s health, education and welfare facilities. The Bahrain Diabetes Society has played a significant role in the Kingdom and we believe that with this contribution, the Society would be able to enhance its scope of operations, thereby benefiting a larger section of the society.”

On behalf of H.E. Dr. Shaikh Mohammed Bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the Chairman of Board of Directors of Bahrain Diabetes Society and other fellow Society members, Dr. Mariam expressed her deep appreciation to the NBB Board of Directors chaired by Mr. Abdulla Ali Kanoo and Mr. Abdul Razak Abdulla Hassan Al Qassim, NBB CEO & Director, for the continued support extended by the Bank which helps the Society in carrying out its humanitarian duties.
 
The audience was attended by Mr. Nasser Mohammed Nasser, Secretary to the Board of Directors of the Bank.
