NBB relaunches Al Watani Saving Scheme with a unique three mega prizes totalling $ 666,666.66

National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) announced the re-launch of the Al Watani Savings campaign for 2010. After the stupendous success of the 2009 Al Watani campaign which saw the winner walking away with $ 555,555.55 (the single largest one time cash payout in the Kingdom), the 2010 Al Watani Savings campaign promises to offer a whole lot more to the customers of NBB. Continuing from where it left off in 2009 the new prize scheme offers a whopping $ 666,666.66 to be won by three winners. This scheme has been specifically developed to reward a wider cross section of the customers. Three lucky individuals stand to win these 3 Mega prizes when the final draw is held in January 2011.. NBB’s Al Watani Savings was the pioneer of saving schemes in the Kingdom and the new revamped prize structure bears testimony to NBB’s commitment in offering innovative and attractive product schemes to its customers.

The revamped programme also offers 6 monthly prizes. In addition to the 6 monthly prizes of $6,666.66 each, Al Watani savings also offers two grand prizes of $66,666.66 each. The A| Watani Savings scheme has always strived to promote savings within the community without making customers go through excessive paperwork or unnecessary documentation. As a result all savings account balances of customers are automatically included for the prizes, without the need for opening a separate account or purchasing savings certificates. Furthermore, customers who have SaveWave accounts are also eligible for all the prizes. It is important to note that the SaveWave account is a tailor-made account for the young members of the society which enables them to have a corpus when they graduate or pass out of school. This has proved to be extremely beneficial to most of our SaveWave customers.

In order to provide almost every customer a chance to win the exciting prizes on offer, a minimum of BD 50 in any account is all that is needed to be eligible.

NBB Executive Assistant General Manager (Marketing and Sales), Mr. Abdul Aziz Al Ahmed said: “We are extremely pleased to relaunch the Al Watani Saving scheme for 2010 with a wider pool of prizes and we are delighted to offer our valuable customers the opportunity of winning these prizes. Apart from it’s popularity, the Al Watani Saving Awards Programme also encourages people to save, a habit we wish to promote amongst the citizens of the Kingdom and the future generation of Bahrain. At NBB, we have always strived to enhance our products and services for our customers and the newly launched Al Watani Scheme is one of the many initiatives we have undertaken to achieve this objective.”

Draws for the prizes will be held each month. Customers who maintain an average monthly balance of BD 1,000 and above will be eligible to participate in all three-draw categories. Customers with balance between BD 500 up to BD 1000 are eligible to participate for the monthly draws as well as the grand prizes. Customers with balance between BD 50 and BD 500 can participate in the monthly draws.
