The Bahrain Down Syndrome Society received a much needed boost by a BD 15,000 contribution from NBB. This contribution, which is part of NBB’s support to charitable organisations, was presented by Mr. Abdul Aziz Al Ahmed, General Manager, Domestic Banking Group, during his meeting with Mr. Adel Abdulla Fakhro, Chairman of the Bahrain Down Syndrome Society.
Mr. Adel Fakhro thanked NBB and expressed his gratitude to the management for their generous annual contribution. He conveyed his wishes and the wishes of the members of the Society's Board of Directors to the Bank's Chairman, Board of Directors and Mr. Jean Christophe Durand, the Chief Executive Officer. The contribution is immensely helpful in carrying out the programmes and activities undertaken by the Bahrain Down Syndrome Society. Consequently, it contributes to the Society's humane mission in the service of its members and provides rehabilitation support. Mr. Fakhro also said that he takes pride in this commendable gesture by NBB and for its support to similar societies and organizations in Bahrain, who assist a wide segment of needy people in Bahrain.
On his part, Abdul Aziz Al Ahmed praised the efforts of the Society in the help and rehabilitation of people afflicted by Down Syndrome and ensuring that they can join the mainstream community of Bahrain. He wished them all success in their noble endeavours.
The audience was attended by Mr. Ahmed Al Ali, the Society's Financial Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Al Mannai, the Society’s Care Centre President and Mr. Nasser Mohammed Nasser, Secretary to NBB Board of Directors.
